Shaquille O’Neal – $350 million

With a name like “Shaq Attack” he definitely has to be a part of this list. Shaquille explored a number of industries such as music and film but it was the sports industry that earned him most of his wealth.

In 1996 he aided the American basketball team to win Olympic gold and shortly after announced his plan to join the Lakers, a decision which earned him $121 million in seven years. He then signed a $100 million contract with the Miami Heat in 2005 before his retirement. He still maintains a number of endorsement deals.
